Meh, honestly if it isn't an antique *something* I'd avoid Ebay. I'm only speaking from a few bad experiences but every time I've tried to buy something that wasn't really a typical auction item, I've gotten burnt. Not to sound paranoid or anything....but having a good return policy is vital when buying computer parts

Agreed. I'm actually astounded VLC didn't come out on top. I thought it was a sure win.

I tried using the control rods from the Gilda line with the Riktor set, but the holes didn't match up.

Who directed the movie version of Sphere. Cause this sounds like a bad knock off.

Stupid...stupid...stupid. You don't acknowledge the trolls unless you WANT them to act up even more. The same goes for anonymous. Paypal is asking for it, I doubt they are as high and mighty as they think they are.

I bought a kindle (the regular wireless version) right before I went to Afghanistan and it was one of the BEST things I brought with me. The battery lasted for weeks (perfect when you don't always have the option to charge stuff), when you could find a wireless signal I could use it to check my email quickly and

It's hard to sympathize with their fat profit margin's either. If they'd be willing to shave a little less of the top for themselves they could drastically improve service across the board, of that I am sure....but all you've got to do is say "but that's buisness!" and it's all justified.

Yeah. That's the engineer's version of "needs more plastic explosives".

I read the first comment in this thead, and I read the last comment in this thread, so I'm left wondering what went horribly wrong between the two.

Looks like he had some... *takes sunglasses off*...explosive diarrhea.

...all of my training, has prepared me for this.

I love love love my medical gadgets. However, if you've got something that's automated in some way, always have a manual backup. In other words keep a map and compass in case your GPS thing craps out, don't rely soley on the CPR flashlight, and the iphone app is no replacement for a few basic first aid courses. I

I feel the need to take this line out of context: "...isn't going to wow your pants off but the added 14 inches makes a huge difference."

I intend to make my comment as needless and annoying as yours so that I might illustrate the point I'd like to make. Here we go..."I want to key your prius."

As long as there are medics and doctors within the military, the horrors of war are always going to come home. Nor is the concern for your OWN anything less than before. I can recall talking to an F-15 pilot recently, she (yes SHE) was quiet distraught that during a mission she wasn't able to save a few of the men who

I'm in a different branch...but all the same, we're pretty good at what we do. Whoever was maintaining that ship was more than likely the one who identified the problem to begin with. To me that suggests some kind of understanding of what was happening and the desire to not let their ship continue to... disappear.

Thinking like this ensures my survival. Whilst everyone is looting and killing...I shall be fortified and well fed. Let a thinning of the heard happen over a few months, THEN go restock my supplies.

As an medic currently deployed to Afghanistan, I have to agree from a medical standpoint it's way more practical to prevent heat exhaustion than to air evac someone (it's certainly cheaper as well). I see enough heat related illness as it is...and am embarrassed to admit I've suffered from it myself (haha, a medic

....I burn a lot of my documents. DON'T JUDGE ME.

If you're too worried or snobby to invite homeless or for whatever reason you are more inclined to, don't forget many young airmen/soldiers/sailors/marines are spending their first thanksgiving on their own by themselves. While I was in texas I thought I was going to have to spend my thanksgiving in my dorm room or
