I think everyone should just trust George Miller to make whatever kind of sequel he wants. Every one of his films has a point to make and all sorts of levels that they can be enjoyed at - let the next one be another blank canvas and we can look forward to seeing what new people Max meets and what crazy stuff he gets

‘Bugfuck nuts’ is beautiful! I may have to use that when ‘Batshit mental’ runs it’s course! :)

If it floats your boat mate:) There’s nothing like a show someone likes to ‘endure’:)

It’s always good when Hollywood looks elsewhere for an actor to play a big role. It feeds the acting gene pool. As for Jesse Eisnenburg playing Lex, go for it! I am all for having nice surprises in casting and for other creatives to put their spin on very well known characters. It keeps people guessing and leaves

I loved the Gods and Monsters film and the last two issues have been really fun. Any time that creators get to play around with established characters I love seeing what they change. Bekka’s sword in the film kicked all kinds of arse and the costume style was so wonderfully Kirby so I’ll definitely be picking this

A really interesting comparison Charlie - I did enjoy Spy but that was probably down to it being sold to me by friends as exactly what you described, a spoof. As such I probably didn’t have high expectations. Jason Statham was great in it and I have to confess I have a fondness for Melissa McCarthy’s comedy face

Yeah, if he just walks past the camera like that, smiles, waves and then kindly gets out of the way of the giant things punching each other I’ll be happy!

Well that was a lovely little treat! Bless you London Zoo. You guys rock:)

Great call out and pretty shocked that he wasn’t in the main list! People have really short memories! My favourite Steranko anecdote is based around this stint on Nick Fury - when he went to grab his paychecks the paymaster initially only paid him for art duties because there were ‘no written words therefore no

Moon Knight deserves all this praise and more. Sadly I think it got overshadowed by Hawkeye but I think it’s going to have a long tail of influence. Consistently brilliant it made me fall in love with the character all over again!

His art makes him seem like an utter genius and/or a fekin maniac! Insanely talented and a bloody nice chap to boot!

Yeah! and Police Academy was never a paragon of ‘all ages’ friendly! Toys are weird:)

Happy birthday geez! Seeing your profile pic always makes me stick on some Sisters - and that’s always appreciated:)

Holy shit...they made a Rambo cartoon?.. that is just extraordinary and also... kinda depressing.

Couldn’t agree more. The story worked just enough to allow all that loveliness on screen. I’m not a fan of 3d at all, (glasses wearer and it makes me feel sick etc) but that was the one film that really earned its use. Such a gorgeous film. I suspect that the love for it might quietly grow over the years until someone

I’ve never seen that 60’s style spy suit! That’s spectacular! Nice call out. Was she doing the whole alter ego/secret identity thing in those books? I quite like the idea that it seems in the films they’re going to be establishing that she’s been out in the world for some time already - nicely avoids any of that

Frankly i’m always chuffed when she’s cast in anything but this is just yet another great bit of casting from a film that just keeps on getting more and more interesting. I am so bored of hearing the usual complaints about this and Man of Steel ad nauseam - it’s just another persons interpretation of the material. If

That is so wonderfully terrifying! (Random quick thought - I haven’t read/watched the Twilight stuff but its about vampires right? So do they actually address how a corpse can... you know... er, ‘fertilise’ a living human egg? Otherwise that story took a far weirder turn than I ever thought it might. Like weirder and

What a fascinating read! Your posts have become a really nice highlight - and I have to offer a massive ‘thank you’ (and a secret ‘phew’) for somehow managing to write a scholarly article that barely literate monkeys like myself can read. After realising that there’s been some serious oversight in my reading of the

Oh dear. Well that pretty much sucked all of the lovely mystique of great cream away! Oh well, I’ll have to console myself by eating a a bucket load cream patisseries. I am a bad, bad human. (Random extra and probably slightly ‘offensive’ bit - growing up in Europe and being a massive fan of Ghostbusters I was
