I drive a 14 year old economy car. Still, nobody eats in my car, including me.

I’ve always thought a PT with snow tires, roof rack, and hitch would be good weekend utility vehicle and winter warrior car. I see them cheap and in good condition.

I’d nominate the 08-11 Focus, but it is very similar to Escape, Fusion, and every other Ford of that era.

The simulated-gunshots backfiring ECU mod or whatever needs to stop too.

In the waning years they made a NA version that was less expensive and probably more reliable. I always thought these were a good size.

Yeah both bumpers are too close and smooth to not be non-US spec. Also the front fascia & driving light configuration is either Euro, or unique to this build.

“backbone company”... Right. If Harley disappeared nobody would notice, except maybe people who live close to roads would sleep better.

But they LOOK foreign and the names are hard to pronouce!

They’re old, fat, antiquated, and afraid of the future. The bikes are just like a typical Harley owner, + expensive.

That price is what I was thinking. For the asking price it would have to be a fully loaded Town & Country or something truly unique. There is ‘72 Plymouth Sport Suburban that frequently makes the rounds on the internets- it has factory power sunroof, white vinyl, and police interceptor 440. That I might pay $20k for

The Beetle is nice, but it doesn’t have the roll-down rear window the Civic did. That was dope. The Dart appears to be Mexican market version of what we called Aspen/Volare.

I actually like the earlier iteration with the square dash and the headlight covers instead of the composite lights. This version was no doubt more refined, but reaching the limits of what you could do with the platform. The coupe LeBaron was the prettiest K (actually designated J). For a cheap fun convertible, I

Wokeism is what killed DeSoto!

I hate him more than T. He literally wrote a book explaining the insecurities of his people, then used that data to exploit them for their votes. I hope he goes down in flames, but I suspect we’ll be dealing with him (and certainly his lot) for decades.

Blinding blue LED headlights and gunshot fart can mufflers 4evah!

These could be fine if you’re established, have savings, you’re just plain cheap like me, and have a trusted independent mechanic. A younger or first-time car buyer might be better off with “a buzzy little subcompact car new” with a full factory warranty and fewer potential financial or logistical surprises.

Not everyone goes to college, and even if they did and it’s not cool to sh*t on people just because they’re stupid (whether it be permanent or temporary stupidity)

Fleet sales are a tried and true method for US automakers to keep old and stale models in production.

Ugh, fake convertible roofs, with a sunroof.
Still bad, but in typical GM fashion, the final years of these were ok.
The early ones were very underpowered.

“He probably have to have a roommate and eat Ramen for a while longer than he’d hoped though.” One of the reasons I turned from shaming-the-victim is that this guy’s situation is actually bad for the “economy” (the rest of us.) Instead of being tied to this stupid loan he should be spending money on other things,
