The Chryslers had a way more attractive body too, for their time.

If you’re a kid on a budget that just wants a cheap beater sportyish compact car, there are a lot of options, that won’t be fast, but are cheaper and easier to fix, and cheaper to buy.

I’m willing to bet he’ll show up somehow. Even if it’s a flyover or something.

This sounds harsh but my parents have a 1953 Chevrolet, lightly customized. It’s pretty for what it is I guess, which is basically my Dad’s fantasy. He had a stroke 8 years ago, is in a nursing home now. Mom can’t do anything anymore either. A family friend keeps it running & messes with it now & then. After Dad could Read more

Covid or no, the first part of the headline probably holds up. Its only a matter of time. If you are a younger person wanting a Harley or a 50's/60's “classic” car, just sit tight and let the market do its thing.

Interesting timing. I was visiting parents a few weeks back. I grew up in a rednecky rural area and was driving and the problem is that many farmers have encroached into the public right of way on the rural roads around my parents. There is corn planted right up to within a couple feet of the asphalt. The roads have Read more

Results vary, but I tried the orange fluid and it was horrible. Made my wipers streak and scatter all across the glass. Years ago I had positive experience with RainX spray, but tried it again and it was awful. So I’ve sworn off the stuff for now. Maybe it’s just specific to the car I have now.

I just clean my wipers with whatever I’m washing the car with, then apply whatever protectant I use for plastic/rubber parts (Vinylx, Mequire’s, whatever).

In my parts, last time I checked most junkyards offered $400 per vehicle. So x7 thats $2800, on a $1915 “investment” is a “return” of around 46% right? Junk them all and move on.

This will probably get voted CP, because Jalop crowd, but these are overlooked. Never driven one, but have driven other Ford hybrids and much prefer them to that “other company.” They drive like real cars, and they’re comfortable and feel substantial. This doesn’t suit my wants or needs, but it’s NP for somebody.

I had a Stratus and the handling was as good as an Accord of the era. Great roadtrip car.

This. We had a stripped/basic short-bed 74 or 75 Custom Deluxe straight-six with 3 on the column. The truck I learned to drive on. These rusted horribly in short time. There is a reason you don’t see them. Also, the hoods were flimsy and bent in the middle if you didn’t have the springs and hinges perfectly lubed at Read more

Exactly. He is far more dangerous than Trump. Right now he's spouting off all this stuff to get it all on the record on Fox and the alt-right websites in preparation for a guaranteed 2024 run. Pure evil. Prepare.
