I would love a low-mileage Mazda5, but the ones around me are always used and abused.

I read Jalop and other auto news sources regularly, yet I’d forgotten Fisker still existed. I can’t be the only one.
The last year of my least favorite Toronado generation. Lose the pinstripe, but still probably a NP.
You bet me to it. Also the Toyota C-HR, although it’s sort of conservative in comparison.
Do not ever assume your parents have made good financial or health care decisions. Pry, nag, ask questions.
I loved my 06 Mazda3 5MT hatch. After 6 months my regret was I didn’t splurge on the Grand Touring instead of the Touring. Still a great car, although I only had it a couple years then sold it and went to graduate school.
I remember the sedan. They were not very common, and they were kind of weird because they almost looked American. I recall the proportions were odd because it was a big-ish car, but I think it was rather narrow due to the source cars JDM tax laws (?)
I like this a lot. Lots more pics on other sites, I like the interior best. Nice fabric, and the overall design picks up cues from the original R5 but without being overtly retro. Shifter on the column! Glad to see more normie EV cars.
Isn’t that an A1 in the photo? I had use of friends in Denmark last fall, diesel, 5-spd, base model, 150+k on it. Drove great.
Playskool Bar Set with spill-proof sipper cups and shatter-proof plastic. The safer alternative to glass.
But kids car seats were so much cooler back then and even had their own ashtrays.
Any Buick with the 3800 V-6 during the period, including supercharged.
I’m of two minds. I could go for something like an early Civic- affordable, but good quality and efficient (probably an EV). Or, something unabashedly comfortable without any sporting or performance pretensions. Like a “brougham” era land yacht, just in a more manageable size.
This design still holds up. One of the top car designs ever IMO.
I'm old enough to get this.
I was coupled briefly with a tenured professor. Academics are some of the most crazy (and miserable) people I've ever met. It's true that most of them could never hold down a normal job.
If I had the resources and space, an Alliance GTA convertible would be cool to have.
I’m in the Wash DC area and somebody has a 85 Pulsar with only 80k and an immaculate red interior on FB marketplace. $8k seems a bit much, and it’s an automatic, but it’s intriguing and shouldn’t be too exotic or expensive to maintain.
I lived during this time and the base models were lame, but I liked the 600 ES Turbo in silver or black with the swiss cheese wheels.
People who aren’t rich should stop pretending they are. Live within your means.
