I thank my parents so so much for drilling into me to save for retirement. I’m 35 now and see people my age just starting with out realizing the hole they are already in. I’m still shocked when I check my 403b from the job I left in 2010 see how it’s grown with out me adding anything more.

Do places still do that ? I was in Middle school in NJ in the 90’s and everyone was required to take both. We did a semester of Art , music , shop and home ec in 7th and then you picked two to do for half a year each in 8th.

There are assholes in every occupation. I’ve had mostly good nurses but I still remember the asshole nurse who “took care” of me when I was in the hospital overnight when I was 10.

Yeah my MIL retired as a teacher from Fairfax county in June. She had been there for 25 years and was making just under a 100K . When I moved to the area 10 years ago she was shocked my starting salary was at least 10K less than a first year teacher with a BA.

Go to the hospitals webpage you have to dig to find they’re catholic. I’m not sure how obvious it is once your in the building but their website make them look just the same as the large non religiously affiliated hospital system in my area. I would a least expect a Catholic hospital to be spelled Genesis not Genesys.

I’m just going to sit here and be grateful I live in an area with a ton of hospitals most of which are not Catholic.

Yeah I went to their webpage , there is nothing to indicate their catholic until you get to the second paragraph on their about us page. It made me go check the hospitals around me since I just assumed (correctly thankfully) they were non religious based on their generic names.

Yes but this usually involves giving people specific jobs with very specific instructions. The product of which are generally checked by the bride or groom before the ceremony.
