I gave up on this show when she ran back to her schmuck of a husband instead of marrying Shazam. Made zero sense in the context of the show or actually, any common sense.

that’s a bit harsh on Hitch, and I don’t know if Mamet said anything anti-Islamic, but Miller, yeah, totally.
apart from “I used to like them, and now I don’t mind cancelling them because their post 9/11 work was terrible”, I honestly don’t know. What do you think they have in common?
See also, Frank Miller
now hold up now: if it’s diabeetus, howcum the supplies are diabetic? Dammit Brimley, they should be diabeetic supplies, ferchrissakes....
That was really uncalled for, Senator.
Namor doesn’t pretend to be a hero though. Xavier is a bit of a monster.
Kitty was right - Xavier really is a jerk.
come back after and tell us what you think. (Great looking movie, if nothing else - shot by Vittorio Storaro, who shot a bunch of Coppola’s movie after Godfather)
aw, too bad. It’s actually my favourite! I just love how sleazy Bowie sounds on the sax. And I thought it was fascinating that he produced such a different version of the song, just a few years after his own version.
can’t wait to hear what you think of Lulu’s version. (Produced by Bowie, with a Bowie sax riff and backing vocals...)
should have stuck with Don Draper. He wouldn’t chain her to the back of a pickup truck and drag her through a field.
my favorite non-Godfather movie from 1972? What’s Up, Doc? Yeah, it’s funny as hell, and it has Bab’s singing “As Time Goes By...” *swoon*
always remarkable to read about the chaos behind the scenes of this movie, when what’s on screen looks so elegant and assured.
Mitchum said “does a plumber knock on your door and asks how the pipes are?”
I believe Caine’s quote was “I’ve never seen Jaws 3 but I’ve seen the house it paid for, and it’s lovely”
interesting, but why did you lead with a photo of David Cross?
dude got paid 107K for telling Jerry about The Trip? Seems generous, actually.
“anachronistic”? Is that how you spell “stylish AF”?
Grant is a great watcher*, isn’t he? He’s so good at just being Cary and letting everyone else bounce off him, and then step in and crack up that charisma. The scene with drunk Jimmy is just lovely - so underplayed.
