Great shout - Who’s Zoomin’ Who really is a terrific record, and the title track is one of my favourites. Nice to hear her sing in a more casual, playful voice.

I love how understated and cool Dusty’s Son of a Preacher Man is, but there’s nothing understated and cool about Arethas... wow...

“Never loved a man the way i love you” has it all: the Muscle Shoals horns never sounded better, that guitar solo, the breathy backups on the chorus, and Aretha playing with the full range of her amazing instrument.

I’ve seen trailers for this before every IMAX movie for, it feels like, a year. NB movie promo companies: not a good strategy. I’m so bored by this I wouldn’t watch it on Netflix on a rainy hungover Sunday.
