excellent idea. You’ll come for the Judy Garland, but you’ll stay for the James Mason.

oh good shout - haven’t seen that, I’ll give it a go.

Isn’t this the fourth version of the story? (I think the first wasn’t a musical, but still...)

damn, that Jim Cheung tho...

prediction for Avengers 4: Thor’s gonna throw his hammer away, call it back and blow a hole in Josh Brolins chest.

I didn’t like the third act because i didn’t get it. It seemed like the suddenly wanted to make a different movie. Which was a shame, because the first and second act was so good.

evil robot is evil. Or something.

I love that second-last clip, where he’s running in a straight line from the giant robot, even when there’s a corner just to his right.

in the uk, we called them her fat knickers. Much classier.

sfx for a cat girl is cheaper than sfx for a giant woman.

cool - Frank Robbins got to kill Hitler!

The official Marvel continuity “death of Hitler” is cool: burned to death by the og Human Torch. (Oddly, I think it happened “off camera” - don’t think it’s very been depicted...)

I’m going to miss that coat.

i’m not shocked or disgusted, just... puzzled...

how’d he get a way out? He went back to prison.

yeah, I think this was the start of his comeback. (And he wasn’t that bad as Batman - but boy, was that movie awful)

“No more timeouts” shuffled up on a Spotify playlist last week - still kills.

I know I say this on every story about Soderburgh, but you need to hear his directors commentary on this dvd - it’s just fascinating. And funny as hell - feels like you’re hanging out, and he’s just the best company.

and the freeze-frames! Just perfect.

Farina never disappointed. Miss that guy.
