totally agree - I don’t get the fuss about Kilmonger either. Michael Jordan is an excellent, charismatic actor, but he seemed stuck in first gear in this. (And the cgi in the final fight was terrible)

ironically, my favourite scene was where the gorilla king barked at the token white guy mansplainer.
that was a bit disappointing - I was hoping he was going to be flailing around, swinging his tail, roaring fire. Now, that would have been metal af.
is it ok to admit that... I didn’t think it was that great? One of the better mid-tier Marvel movies, but not even in the top three, for me. But then, I thought Iron Man 3 was terrible too, so...
...and the glazed look in his eyes...
so awesome!
except in Mark of Zorro, when Tyrone has his back to the camera, and Basil gets to fight the stunt double (who seemed to know what he was doing).
Yeah, Brett is good (but a bit nuts in the later seasons) and Benedict is excellent (but a bit too fan-service-y in the later seasons), but Basil is the real deal. He looks most like the guy in the Strand illustrations, and his line delivery is my favourite: so fast it feels like his mouth can’t keep up with his…
always wondered about that hairdo...
“he said you’re ugly. And old”
I detected a subtle foreshadowing of Abbot and Costello meets Troilus and Cressida
check out the recent Netflix movie Mudbound - there’s a subplot about this battalion, and its excellent.
Jason Mitchell played a commander in that tank battalion in Mudbound. It’s a really good movie, and the tank scenes are remarkable.
didn’t recognize him in the trailer but I saw his name on the credits at the end.
all good advice, but you missed something very important: because they blow compressed air across the camera lens (to keep it clear. ew) you’re filled with gas after. I farted loudly and aggressively for the rest of the day.
Michael Praed gave up Robin of Sherwood for that...
yeah, thats what I’m thinking - but was it enough of a deal to merit a sequel? I loved it but wasn’t aware that it was a hit.
Can’t believe that the Sicario sequel will be as good as the original, cos that effin ruled. But I’m in anyway.
she was already quite creepy in the trailer!
Carville starts as a caricature - he’s so annoying...
