It just so happens that an excerpt from a book published last year, about a famous white guy shoplifting shit while he was in college, got posted? No other reason at all? None?

It's an understandable stance to take, especially when your show is massively popular and the tidal wave/avalanche/volcano eruption of commentary that comes in each week would crush/crush/crush (and also melt) any normal person.

I can't speak to EVE's free trial being there from the actual start or not, but I do know that WoW didn't have a free trial when it was first released. I was part of one of their "open beta weekends." You bought the boxed copy of WoW and got 30 free days, then you had to pay.
