This brilliant description can also apply to Roger Goodell.

Pretty much all creative professions. These people would never work for peanuts themselves, but we’re supposed to do it for the LOVE or whatever the fuck. Is it meant to be some kind of bizarre karmic punishment for having careers where we (ideally) like what we do (most of the time, hopefully, barring the bullshit of

One step. BUT THIS SHIT PISSES ME OFF. As a professional dancer myself, NO ONE WANTS TO PAY YOU. It’s so frustrating especially bc sports players make millions. Cheerleading and dance are a SPORT and actually have just as many injuries (if not more) than football. UGHHHHHHH-who has an ativan?

“Coming down too fast” doesn’t seem like an excuse. We Finns can handle 30+ inches of snow for days on end without closing down a single road or airport for even a minute.

Nope. When a politician does something so egregious — he knew about the shooting, he knew about the video, he knew it would fuck with his re-election campaign so he helped to hide it — he needs to resign. Period. If the person who replaces him does something egregiously horrible, then kick their ass out too. But one’s

Stories like this should make clear who those editorial board members are. Most likely, all white folk, and probably all white men. Call it out. Every single time. Call that shit out. It’s not just an editorial board.. those are PEOPLE who write such vile crap and they need to be called out for it.

Hell, it’s not even trickle down economics anymore. Apparently, you’re supposed to just be happy to be in the physical vicinity of that kind of money.

You guys need better protest culture. The fact that your streets aren’t constantly packed with people demanding gun reform is bonkers. France protests over everything - maybe take a page out of their book.

“the idea that gun owners are extremely responsible and competent individuals”

That’s exactly what’s wrong with this country (and humanity as a whole) - the idea that money is more valuable than doing the right thing. LeBron has made enough to support himself and the next ten generations of his family from ever having to work again. Would he like to earn more? Undoubtedly, but never playing

“To do more than that would require a combination of bravery, anger, and opportunity that’s unfair to expect or ask for.”

Thank you! It was worth it, because I knew it would start more things rolling and I had a great show..did my own programming and everything. After I left I went into voiceover, which I still do and which wasn’t much different when I started. Agencies wouldn’t sign me because “we already have two women” so I was a kind

I do radio in Canada (about three and a half years now) and would just like to thank you and all of the women like you out there who stood up to that bullshit and paved the way for my generation of broadcasters. Even though sexism in this industry is still pervasive (My PD actually told me without shame or

On the job harassment is the worst.

Similar story, similar outcome (except no sexy friend came through) to I created a burner account for this’s story.

That’s sad as hell. You let the song knock you down. You didn’t get up again. You let it keep you down.
