I just want to say how much I liked the Skye and Cal scenes. Very very proud of Skye for doing what she did in the beginning. And her bit about she understands Cal and his searching? I really liked that. Plus how Kyle played Cal was cool. Awkward, excited, sad.

I agree. I was great that he got to dial it way back to a simpler time. And telling the story of his daughters birth probably sounded rehearsed because they told it many times to themselves or others as a way to hold on to the memory, like when you tell people the story of "How I met your mother."

what I remember about that was the really really ugly kid was was the sweetest nicest mutant, but he lived underground because of his looks. It think he was also hella powerful. He would have been an nice addition to an X-man team.
