I agree. The first Cars movie was really good. I can watch that movie any time and love sharing that with my kids. I think some of the problem is that people are judging the first movie because of the second. Taken together, yes, mediocre, but separate them and the first is awesome and second is trash.

The physical storage system for the plans makes sense if it is more durable than the other systems shown. The disc R2 was given probably broke down or got scratched easily, whereas the data tape could be swung around and withstand all kinds of abuse.
