Dear Everyone who can vote in the New York Democratic Primary:

While I appreciate the “perfect is the enemy of the good” line of argument, I’ve also noticed that it gets used to shut down meaningful criticism. I think this article is meaningful criticism, and I think a lot of the comments on this post are coming from a place of discomfort.

I was curious, because on its face this entire situation is a weird move. So I went and read a bunch of articles about the corruption allegations and Bottoms first 100 days in office on AJC. And suddenly the picture started coming together.

almost anything i say would reveal which tiny liberal arts school im talking about, but no — the curriculum is genuinely interesting and has developed into working with incarcerated populations in a positive way, so could be worse.

I’m increasingly of the opinion that universities should be governed by and answerable to the students and faculty.

I am cringeing in my bones right now. When I was younger and dumber I read Jez all the time and Lindy West is still a goddamn hero, but holy god this is some weird shit.

If you want some internet stranger advice on engagement rings when money is tight, I have some!

THANK YOU I was starting to think I was the only one who noticed

Michael, I like you, but this sentence is both superfluous and dehumanizing:
