Another interesting thing about those “hero” civilians with guns: they nearly killed that cop (and the 3 others up there with him) because they were shooting willy-nilly at the top. Also not mentioned is the number of people INSIDE the Tower who were in danger of their lives due to all the civilians shooting out…

The thing is that the suppressing fire also impeded the movement of the police when they finally made it to the top (almost shot several of them) and also shot out many, many windows in the Tower, endangering the innocent lives of the workers inside. So no, the civilians didn’t help all that much.

Fucking asshole Perry did the same thing in Texas. I moved to Austin because the business was booming, and the very first thing he did was remove most of the subsidies, while proclaiming how great Texas is for business. Bullshit.
