I know Chris and this take is 100 percent correct. She is competent, just and fair. She probably told him that he’d have to start doing his job correctly and held him accountable for his actions.

Ah, the sweet, sweet sound of unearned privilege being revoked.

In my experience, nothing makes a misogynist, half-assing dude go from zero to sputtering Kavanaugh than a woman finally holding him accountable at work.

Truth really is stranger than fiction! This family is evidence of that. So fascinating! I’ve recommended biographies of them to people for years.

A few other choice nuggets from the Outside article:

Yup. More specifically, by a single member of the club. There was only one complainant in the grievance filed against her--a guy whose main complaint was that she punished him on the multiple occasions that he refused to do his job. smh.

So basically - the woman hired to replace the guy fired for enabling a He Man Woman Hater’s club is harassed out of her job by the He Man Woman Hater’s club.

Yeah, weird, isn’t it. In the hierarchy of private universities in CA, Stanford by far outstands USC. If you’re in the know, USCs sole advantage has been it’s fundraising system which makes everyone else in the country (with the exception of Harvard and Yale and maybe a few others) look like noobs. Otherwise, Stanford

That one baffles me, since not only is she claiming that she would’ve been accepted at USC if not for this bribery scam (possible! Not likely or provable, yet possible), but also saying that had she been accepted to USC, she would’ve gone there instead of Stanford. Don’t get me wrong, USC is a good school, but unless

Nancy’s two most popular books -- Love in a Cold Climate and The Pursuit of Love - have been turned into TV series, and these were more or less auto-biographical.  The Radlett family in Nancy’s books is the Mitford family.

YES. “Betraying” her makes it sound like Nancy revealed a secret entrusted to her. Everyone knew Diana was a Nazi — she bragged about it to the end of her life. She used to swan around the pre-WW II Nazi rallies in Germany, in black leather, making the Nazi salute with her sister Unity who was, I’m sorry to say,

Diana wasn’t the second eldest, you forgot about Pam!  Poor Pam.  Everyone forgets about her.

I am a shameless Mitford junkie. I have read all the books by all the sisters and all the books about the sisters, including a very trashy one called Unity Mitford: A Quest. They never fail to astonish, horrify, and delight. Though I believe Debo (later the Duchess of Devonshire) is my favourite, I can’t help but

Jessica was my favorite Mitford, although I have a special place for Deborah as she married the Duke of Devonshire. Don’t forget that Unity was conceived in Swastika, Canada!

I am absolutely obsessed with the Mitfords, especially Jessica (who I met and who complimented me on a review I wrote of one of her books and I almost DIIIEEEDD yes I’m bragging because it is the most awesome thing that ever happened to me). Her memoir, Hons and Rebels (sometimes published as Sisters and Rebels), is

I know people joke about that, but I really, really hope it is not true.

If you’re going to put it on the internet, nowadays you have to ~*curate*~ the space. Apparently the sterile hotel look is in everywhere, not just on HGTV.

You’d be surprised how many older women are on You Tube with makeup and hair tutorials.

I don’t know a more embarrassing OJ to come out of USC.
