If the live-action SW shows he’s been involved with are any indication, then I don’t see myself paying much attention to Star Wars in the future.

I think you’re reading way too much into a puffy quote tossed off in a Vanity Fair piece.

Stevenson was maybe my favorite part of Ahsoka. He had such a different attitude than previous SW villains, and I was actually interested to see the path he took. It makes his passing all the more tragic, I hope that story thread isn’t abandoned.

I’m a Filoni stan but I can respect what you’re saying. I love him for his overall output and his effect on the SW cinematic universe in general, but I also think Filoni is a big picture guy and needs others to actually make his ideas work.

When my daughter was 6 she was in love with Avatar. She decided to watch the movie and found the first movie in her life she said she hated. 

Avatar was previously adapted in 2010 by M. Night Shyamalan and was... kind of a mess!

I’m reminded of how, when Hunger Games came out, I saw some kids complaining about how the movie was bullshit as an adaptation because Katniss’s backpack wasn’t orange.

I believe the actor who voiced the Cabbage Merchant in the series is reprising his role in the live action version!
