Yes, it’s a thing, but the handling benefits of front-mid are usually not as good as read-mid. The first factor is weight distribution, and it is easier to get 50/50 with either mid layout.

So this loses 5% to the drivetrain, while the Focus RS loses 8%. Those are both good numbers, but honestly I’m more impressed by the FoRS given the complex AWD setup...

On the contrary I think Porsche will be more likely to leave after a three-peat. If they lost this year they might feel they had something still to prove.
