I’d rather double up on cloth masks until someone comes up with a recycling program or something.  It’s frankly embarrassing the quantity of masks I see strewn about on the street.

How does asking people to wear a mask “control the populace”?  Was I out of my own control any time I wore a mask?

This article fails to mention the primary utility of cloth masks - they protect OTHER people from YOU by limiting the spread of airborne particles when you cough or sneeze. If you’ve got a better-quality mask, by all means use it, but putting this article under a headline of “Stop Wearing Cloth Masks” is dangerously…

Instead of a virus, picture them as terrorists looking for places to hide. Would you stop locking your doors if terrorists were hiding in homes and cars and killing 1000 people a day? Would you object to a no-unlocked-doors mandate?

There’s certainly fault here but I think what’s screwing him is that he was found guilty of extreme indifference which I don’t think is the truth here. He is certainly guilty of something but I don’t think he intended on taking out a bunch of people that day.

Mandatory minimum laws are obscene in all instances.

Holy shit, child rapists, murderers and other far more horrible people get far less time than this.  Did this guy fuck up and deserve to go to jail?  Certainly.  Does he deserve 110 years, not even close.  Total failure of the system here so far.
