Especially given that even the most deserving of bro-ly bros, such as himself, is often only a few paycheques away from being homeless too. An unexpected layoff or catastrophic illness can happen to anyone.

I think that is less child abuse, and more “preparing children for how shitty and unfair life in the real world can be.” I mean, six of one, half a dozen of the other.

MY PEOPLE! *dashes for the ship elevators with muu-muu a-flutter*

Can’t believe I made a comment above about basically this, before reading your disgusting and hilarious confession!

This. Ah, childhood memories of spaghetti and Kraft “parmesan” in the green tube can; for all we know it was the pulverised foot gratings from a pedicure salon. And from what I remember of the taste and smell, it may well have been. Which is why as soon as I left home, I bought parmesan by the wedge.

Oh but darling Miranda Kerr is so 2012. Remember when she was married to Legolas and had that adorable baby? When she was a Victoria’s Secret angel? Darling, she’s reduced to hawking china teacups Swarovsky jewelry! And is she even in her 20s anymore? So over.

I love your username! And now for some reason, I want a foofy cocktail served by a guy in a little military jacket... #olds

I agree with you. My dress didn’t cost thousands because I designed and made it myself, but it was hundreds in materials plus hundreds of hours, so even though the marriage petered out after a decade or so, you betcha that dress is still carefully preserved.

Or maybe #afewreallyracistwhitepeoplegraspingforstraws

So, you’re speaking with authority about an entire group of people that doesn’t include you? Just curious, do you mean American white people? Because that group doesn’t include me either.

So horribly true! About once a year I forget how bad it is, see one Lobsterfest(TM) commercial too many, think “those biscuits are so damn tasty *and* they keep them coming!” and the nightmare begins anew.

Speaking of Charlotte, there’s this one scene that really sums up how awful this show was... Remember when Carrie broke up with Aiden, and he told her to either buy her apartment from him or move? And she wonders why she doesn’t have a downpayment, and then looks at her closet full of $400 Manolo Blahnik heels? And

Totally depends on the hair in question. I used to have straight, longish hair that was so oily that it absolutely had to be washed every other day, or better still, every day. Then in all fell out (thanks, cancer!) and what grew back is mad curly, and basically almost never needs to be washed. Would never have

Someone can be a great teacher AND a giant asshole, oddly- had a couple of those in college. Yours sounds like he takes the cake, though!

You’re right, it will indeed pop up automatically, but that still doesn’t make it correct. Noting odd proportions is not the same as saying that they’re ugly, bad, or wrong- whether on a man or a woman. This is my opinion, and I accept that it might be a minority view.

Body-shaming? The critic is pointing out how Stiller’s odd proportions are being shoehorned into a movie where he’s supposedly the world’s greatest male supermodel, a job that literally is all about the way a person looks. If anything, it’s praising his acting skills that he can pull it off.

Your high school history teacher was an asshole.

I feel bad about that. Crosby once subbed in pretty much at the eleventh hour as a keynote speaker at a SF convention, after someone else bailed, and she was nothing short of warm, charming, personable, and hilarious. If only that came across better onscreen.

But Kevin Hart is miniature. Tom Cruise can stand on apple boxes in some films, but Hart- while funny and talented- lacks the physique for superhero roles. He’s on a different tragectory.

YES. This. I love comicbook movies, and this one looks like a hoot. But The Revenent looks like Leo’s hail Mary “come ON give me a fucking OSCAR ALREADY” role, crossed with a Lars Von Trier attitude to natural-light shots and torturing one’s cast and crew for The Art. In short, probably beautiful to look at in places
