Stacey! Take my MONEY!

Woohoo Georgia!!! Let’s go! There are so many of us here that are not redneck, backwoods, uneducated Deliverance yokels. We are so willing and ready to elect a sound and able-minded individual who wants to actually WORK FOR THE PEOPLE. Let’s do this Georgia!!

Now this gives me hope. I’d love to see her elected, of course, but the most important thing we can do for 2018 is challenge them everywhere. Press them for every seat, run in every election, push them and bleed them for cash and make this a goddamn fight for once.

Yeah, I should have said, “rational, intelligent and sane people when it comes to other things...”

Now playing

Having gotten all the good out of what passes for my knees I’m forced to walk instead of running.

Ironically, I’m sure all these Republicans that are into “states’ rights” are going to be super pissed about this.

Unfortunately, I think his wealth and ignorance will protect him from even having to confront the effects. But yeah, here we are!

I’m fairly certain it’s not a treaty subject to the rules on treaties in the Constitution. It’s completely non-binding. That’s why it didn’t have to go through the Senate.

California and NY combined have the GDP of Germany

It astounds me how accurate this is. When the “Trump gave his cell number to world leaders” story came out I couldn’t help myself, and out of curiosity went to the Fox fb page to see how they were spinning it. There legitimately were people leaving comments like, “lol as long as he’s fucking with liberals/politicians

And yet, the Republicans in Congress won’t be even the slightest bit annoyed with this (though a few may pronounce token opposition), even though it yet again neuters the idea that Congress is in any way not just another arm of the White House.

I don’t even think Trump himself knows how it works. Bannon just had to say, “Other countries are laughing at you because of it,” and it was all over.

I had dinner with someone who ran a nonprofit in NYC. Trump came to their annual fundraising event with about 700 people. He grabbed the mic and proclaimed he was going to give $1 million to fund one of their programs.

Animal agriculture (this includes dairy and eggs, not just meat) is the number one cause of climate change. It creates more greenhouses gases than transportation. 90% of all Amazon rainforest destruction is done for cattle ranching. Never mind that animal agriculture is rife with human rights violations and labor

If they allow individual states to become signatories to the agreement, that might be enough to mitigate the damage. California and NY combined have the GDP of Germany. As other states realize the economic boon of the agreement and join, they might even back us into the agreement again.

Most frustrating are all the moron Trump supporters who couldn’t tell you the first thing about the Paris Climate Agreement or how it works, besides Obama supported it, but are thrilled beyond belief by this move because it means “The US is no longer getting screwed by other countries”
