No, I am not. I’ve played the game on launch, and it was underwhelming then. Mind that I was coming from Daggerfall and Morrowind at the time (hadn’t played Arena yet).

Elder Scrolls Blades makes me want to play Skyrim, which in turn makes me want to play Morrowind.

I’m obsessed with the lore behind Numidium. It’s a giant, brass robot that metaphysically yells “NO!” at something so hard that the thing stops existing.

Exclusives in consoles happened because you guys didn’t fight back enough and let companies roll you over. Us, PC players are fighting right now because we dislike exclusives and are willing to do out best to stop it, even if it just mean a different icon (it’s a lot more complicated than that, mind you. And half my

This is largely Oblivion’s sin; Oblivion tore out everything interesting that had previously been described about Cyrodiil (even ignoring that it *was supposed to be a jungle*) and replaced it with.. Germany-England but somehow less interesting. Oblivion is a delightful game but as an overall part of TES’ lore, it’s a

Summerset Isle could be interesting just because it’s run by Elf Nazis, which could make for a pretty interesting intrigue-heavy plotline. Not sure Bethesda has the chops to pull a story like that off, though. Maybe they should just have Arkane make it instead and have it be Elder Scrolls: Dishonored.

Well, considering the last game was centered around slaying a dragon, gonna be hard to out common that. Maybe you can find a sword in a lake and become king?

The weirdest thing about Hermaeus Mora’s involvement was them remembering Hermaeus Mora to use him lol. I will admit, he was the bright spot of weirdness in the sea of normal.

Morrowind by far had the most interesting world of modern ES games (III,IV,V); with only Shivering Isles coming close to capturing it again.

Most of the weirdness came from one of the lore creators for Morrowind. I do not believe he works there anymore. Still Dragonborn did tend to get a bit weird when you consider Hermaeus Mora’s involvement and whatnot.

Translation: “Hi, I’m a dude and since the same levels of societal expectations on appearance that fall upon women don’t fall upon me, I don’t care and think it’s dumb to talk about.”

Honestly that’s the kind of thing that allows Elder Scrolls lore to stand up but is slowly being lost as the series got more mainstream.

“Did EA’s executives really care about narrative? Did they really care about RPGs?”

You can thank Chelsea Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and all other Democrats who gave credence to this fabrication of anti-semitism.

So what you’re saying is because you don’t care about those things personally, there is no way anyone else could care and if they do, they’re wrong, and not only are they wrong, they need to stop and just accept it. See, that’s not a very compelling reason.

Counterpoint - Maybe you shouldn’t force your way onto a marketplace before you are ready?

When you are trying to push into a market, you need to create some benefit to using your platform over existing ones. Being on par... which it definitely is not... is not a selling point.

For one, I’d say they’re pretty on top of stuff like features. They have mods. Epic doesn’t. They have cloud saves. Epic doesn’t. They have forums. Epic doesn’t. Etc etc. Could they stand to be better? I suppose so. What does Epic offer better here? Nothing. People compare things in the present, not an undefined

Fascinating stuff! I think it is right to state that Bastila was the heart of the game. She was so reactive to your decisions, more than any other companion. It was excellently done. In fact most of the companions in that game were great once you got to the big decision on Sith Island. You could be so. bad. in that

Fantastic article, thank you!
