I’ve been saying this since news first broke out of this. In a reasonable world it would have worked out like this:
Guess who did get priority? The gold members of United travel program.
Welp, hard disagree. If anyone has priority it should be a doctor.
Remember, being “disruptive and belligerent” is a crime punishable by beating in our police-state.
Until one of them finds out that that was THEIR doctor, and how dare he reschedule them because he’s on “VACATION”, doesn’t he know that they had to rearrange THEIR schedules to make this appointment happen??
The comments over on Gizmodo are depressing AF. To paraphrase, the elderly doctor deserved it, should not have raised his voice, should have just used his “cell phone to re-book patients from his hotel room,” and that this whole incident has been entirely blown out of proportion.
Like seriously. Who the fuck takes a PR disaster for your company and decides “Hey lets just come out talking like an abusive husband and blame the victim for needing to be beat up. That’ll make everything better!”
I’m on several job posting lists. No joke, this morning I got a job opening ad for a public relations specialist for United. I can only hope it’s because United’s entire department threw their hands up and quit yesterday.
Does United not have a single PR person? Someone, anyone who could put some platitudes on cue cards and shove this guy in front of the camera? One of the cops is already being investigated, how hard would it be for United to do the whole “we are deeply disturbed by the incident and will look into it” song and dance?…
I suspect the feeling is mutual.
I suspect that at least 10% of Leave voters specifically wanted to keep the French out of England.
Ducks. Chickens too, I think. Some fish. Toads, newts, and I have seen a raccoon sample one once - didn’t look like he liked it, tho.
If you put out a bowl of beer every night, they’ll climb in and drown.
Before the bizarre Rhod Gilbert seasons.
I was perusing The Knot today and they recommended Danzig’s “Mother” as a great mother/son dance, as well as “Mother” by Pink Floyd. It’s as if they just typed the word mother into Spotify without actually listening to them.
I actually had no idea that was what it was about either, but that’s because whenever it came on the radio I made a mad dash to switch to another station within 5 seconds.
He was quite fun when he guested and hosted on Buzzcocks
I’ve always loved the conservative retort being “you don’t tolerate my intolerance ergo you’re not intolerant!” There’s no reason to, say, tolerate bigotry. Or racism. Or sexism. Those things should not be tolerated.
What’s with the quotes? Does he mean no real woman would tolerate infidelity?
