i heard of rent but i was in switzerland as a teenager and i was most definitely not into broadway musicals then, nor am i now. and neither is most of the world outside of the US. or they've heard of the musicals but from that to knowing the names of broadway musical cast members, it's quite the stretch.

'let it go' is a godawful song. no one's denying she has a great voice but the song itself is putrid.and john travolta's fuck-up got her more attention than she otherwise would have received because, like it or not, broadway stars don't have the kind of mainstream recognition that tv and movie stars do.
