*M’Baku goes to shake hands with T’challa, switches it up at the last second and gives him a stone cold stunner. Jim Ross yells out “Bah Gawd!”*

Yes, I think almost all the reviews I’ve read mentioned that the CGI is a little dodgy in places. I noticed it in some of the big battle scenes where humans were interacting with the rhinos and vehicles in particular.

Let’s also all keep in mind that this is only Ryan Coogler’s THIRD film. As someone born in the ‘80s, I imagine this is a lot like watching Spielberg’s early successes.

Literally the point of the film.

Yes, and the concept is fleshed out more in the movie. It’s what drives the entire story, really.

“Did the Wakandan monarchy at the time have some kind of “Wakanda-first” policy?”

No, where was she?

Yes, Boomerang in a Superior Foes show would be the best!

But will Bicycle Throwing Woman be there to save anyone?

That was always the charm of The Soup though, so it’s likely intentional here

As someone who was obsessed with The Soup and has missed it greatly these past few years, this show is pure comfort food to me. It’s pretty much exactly the same as The Soup, and that’s a a great thing. The montage of South Korean car accidents was hilarious.

Kinda the Odenkirk route?

You know what life’s about. Family means nothing when it comes to that center seat.

I saw it last night. Deliberately ditched my family so I could reserve that one center seat. I’m taking them Sunday morning, 9am. Good movie.

I never saw it, but was it even a remake? It was set in China (hence, it wasn’t even “karate”), the lead was much younger, and none of the characters had the same names. Seems like it mostly just shared a title.

While I certainly have issues with the way Barry got out of jail (what is Ralph going to do, pretend to be DeVoe every time someone needs to talk to the guy?), I can see how Barry could justify it to himself - (1) on a practical level it solves the ‘i don’t want to have to run the rest of my life’ issue since he was
