Definitely interested to see where they are going with Black Siren. Katie Cassidy is so much more interesting as evil Laurel & seems to be having a blast playing her. I wonder if her character can really be redeemed at this point though. It will be interesting if the show resists giving evil Laurel the redemption arc…

The National Guard didn’t even fly in when Damien Darkh had nuclear bombs all over the ENTIRE WORLD. So, in comparison, them not coming when just one city is under siege is no biggie.

But Johnson didn’t *contradict* anything in the Abrams movie. So I don’t think there’s any indication the series is fine with just retconning at will. And I’m honestly a lot more excited about talented filmmakers playing a game of Exquisite Corpse than some blueprinted glorified TV series of a trilogy.

I liked the rematch fight between Sinara and Daisy. I never expected it to be zero g (was that promised in promos?) so the switching between different gravities made sense. After all they were surfing gravity storm. And the call back to how Gordon died was funny.

I will die with you on that hill, especially with regard to Snoke. With Rey, there is at least a question implied by TFA, but it was a question that was of far greater significance to the character than to the plot. With Snoke, the writing didn’t even bother to make it a question.

The dumb internet hill I choose to die on is arguing that Abrams and Kasdan didn’t even set up Snoke or Rey’s family as big mysteries — they were there to explore if the next guy wanted to, and he obviously had mixed feelings about what was and wasn’t worth pursuing.

I’ve always sort of assumed they’re aiming for some non-vital places and/or they’re all wearing body armor, as many of them seem to, but who knows.
