Tomasi’s Super Sons has consistently been a shining and delightful gem of a book from the moment it came out - from someone who used to dislike Damian Wayne STRONGLY (to put it kindly), sticking him with Jon Kent is such a stroke of brilliance. Strongly recommended for anyone who likes to smile.

Yeah, I think you nailed it. Had this predated Marvel it would have been celebrated. But the bar has been raised so high that it didn’t stand out. But I have to admit, I really loved it for what it was.

For all the similar character types (fast guy, rich techsuit guy, fantasy person) between Marvel and DC ensembles, it is cool to be reminded that Superman is a singular sort of game changer.

The best scene was when Aquaman was sitting on Diana’s lasso and just starts ranting emotionally about stuff.

i’ve now seen it twice and i have to say i mostly like it. if the MCU didn’t exist it would probably be in the very top of superhero movies, however the MCU does exist so it’s more like 17th best.
