I liked the Rebirth issue, but I'm still confused how there is a pre-52 and post-52 Superman when Rebirth implied that the New52 versions are the same people they were in pre-52, just with a decade of life removed. I expected the Supermen to be merged somehow so that the New 52 fans felt less slighted.

Supes is clearly headlining both books.

1. X2
2. X-Men
3. X-Men: First Class
4. X-Men: Days of Future Past
5. The Wolverine
6. X-Men: Apocalypse
7. X-Men: The Last Stand
8. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I knew there was no way Sava could just enjoy this comic. This plus Superman 52 and Justice League 50 made for the best DC week in ages.

Agreed!

Exactly!

The tie-in "Casualties of War" by Christos Gage is excellent. It clearly illustrates the positions of Cap and Iron Man in a way the main book never did.

Fabian Nicieza's run on Thunderbolts was pretty fantastic, as were Peter David's two Captain Marvel books. Currently under the radar: The Vision! More people need to be reading that book!

The editors gave the writers waaaay too much room to make Tony a villain. In general, the characterization in Civil War and other books was terrible! One bright spot was the one-shot done by Christos Gage where Cap and Iron Man fully articulate their positions (which was never really done in the main CW book).

Yes, the melty face thing was shockingly disgusting!

I have to agree! Just how many villains were "locked up" at Pleasant Hill anyway?!

Yeah, it's been great. The "Reboot?" storyline was really interesting and set up an interesting status quo change.

Yes. I believe she'll be co-penciling Superwoman with Phil Jimenez!

Me too! I've never gotten the hate! Saw it three times in the theater.

Totally agree! I'm a huge Joss fan from back in the day and even I was getting tired of the "poor me" routine. The truth probably (as always) lies somewhere in the middle.

You're right that both the visions and the farm were Joss' ideas.

Good ol' AV Club… just can't pass up a chance to take a swipe at Batman v Superman, even if the story has nothing to do with that movie!

Superman/Batman 51 — Pretty good, though not as excellent as Superman 51.
Autumnlands — Tooth and Claw 10 — Fun issue. Interested to see what the end game is on all of this.
Starfire 11 — Really fun issue. I can't wait to see what the book's artist does next. Her style is very reminiscent of Bruce Timm. It's gorgeous.

Black Widow 2 was outstanding! A master class is storytelling!

I'll back you up on your Elfquest love. It was the one comic that me and my two brothers could always agree on! I was (and remain) a big fan of Rayek!
