Sure it seems like she had the rental for only three days, but technically we’re only referring to three “chronological” days. Once you factor in all the times she drove backwards around the planet to time travel... She actually had the car for over 2 years.

That sounds right, it must have been set to miles when checked out and km on check-in. Just another example of why you need to take pictures when you rent a vehicle, the cause would have been obvious.

A refund in 3-5 days isn’t nearly enough for that creating that much stress and bad will. The lady is being very gracious as I am sure the agents did in fact hang up on her on purpose.

this list has a serious lack of Aging Wheels, makes it feel a bit Under Dunn.

Stupid that it’s income capped. Not sure on the logic if you’re trying to encourage everyone to minimize car purchases. Also, how is income capping even a thing post-Plessy v Ferguson? Seems classifying people by income and treating them differently goes against this decision.

This is an accessibility feature for deaf people to perceive the cadence and intensity of speech.  I have no idea why Ari is even using it.

I just go to the cheapest station with the best rebates.

Speech to vibrations

Not surprised though, deving your own chips is a long, extremally expensive process. It’s not like Apple just made their chips in a year, that project was likely worked on for years before they even created one chip.

It’s funny when scientists who have never driven a car try to solve problems. I’m guessing it would surprise them to find out roads are covered with dirt and other partials that will fill up their silly little container pretty fast.

I will seriously avoid gas stations with these things even if they’re cheaper than everyone else. For some reason, I have run into very few where there’s a functional mute button, so I just avoid ‘em all.

I mean... it basically is. It’s annoying, it’s smelly, lately it’s comparatively expensive. You’re more likely to eat crap foods than not (which is what the station literally banks on). You literally can’t do what’s inarguably the best part of vehicle ownership - drive - while you do it. There’s often crap music or TV

I mean, mars is further from the sun than the earth.

Maybe they should burn their car like Nike shoes owners.

They clearly aren’t enforced.  Think of the the ‘unlimited’ claims that have limits.  And the list goes on.

As somebody on Twitter said the other day: “Wants to colonize Mars but has never seen the Sun.”

Minivans get about the same mileage as 3 row crossovers with similar drivetrains

*According to EPA testing*
Real world, not so much.

my father in the 90's bought a ford explorer with a similar rationale... because he wanted to use it off road for camping. in over 2 decades of my family’s ownership, that car has gone off-road exactly 3 times.

I had this conversation with my brother in law that insisted that with his 1x kid, he needed a 3 row crossover, the Atlas in this case, because of needing a big trunk to go camping twice a year. I told him the rational, perfect solution to his needs was a mini-van but, well you know, people would prefer to buy
