Not sure where this “Mitsubishis are unreliable” myth came from?

Not quite, but she gets driven!

Fits are barely discounted.

Seventy-eight horsepower has been enough for 2,000 pound cars for decades.  When did that change?

For cryin’ out loud, man, I have put 150k on a Mirage over the past six years. If anyone should be afraid of one, it should be ME. According to you, I should actually be dead!

$4000 for one of these with 4 years and 100,000 miles? You’d be lucky to get $1000.

My mistake.  A few years ago, the base cars did not have AC.

Even if the Micra weren’t available, the Mirage would still be an absolutely terrible value.

Because Nissan doesn’t see any reason to sell it alongside the Versa.

That article is two years old, and it’s author is comparing the Mirage to cars that no longer exist today. The author of the article we are reading here leads with that very point: cheap cars are disappearing.

Lol, everyone thinks that ‘59 Corvette they always wanted is awesome...until they drive one and realize it accelerates, handles, and stops like a dump truck compared to their 2018 Accord LX.

Completely agree with you. Never mind the BMW, the Mirage has almost exactly the same specs as a ‘63 Porsche 356.

And ultimately, depreciation only matters if you are selling it.

No, they are NOT unreliable.

Adjusted for inflation, a new Mirage is cheaper than a new Chevette was in 1978.

How about $11k?  Gets 40 mpg, has standard power windows, locks, tilt, cruise, mirrors, automatic climate control, speed-sensitive variable wipers, etc, etc.

US Mirages have way more standard equipment. Can’t buy one with crank rear windows, two-speaker radio, and no AC here.

There is a new facelift coming out in a couple months that makes it look like...every other Mitsubishi.

It’s a fucking terrifying nightmare to drive in traffic.

I bought one new in 2014. It cost $14k, gets 40 mpg without trying, comes with nearly everything you want as standard equipment, and never, EVER breaks down.
