Nope! Country & Western. Seems like this mis-identification is getting worse...

The Hellcat didn’t even have to be that low on fuel at the start. It may have even started out with a full tank.

Sneak preview of the Jalopnik auto show

No it’s not. It’s a thing of beauty.

It was the 80s. It was all about squiggles and triangles and patterns and colorful lines for some utterly incomprehensible reason.

They were light, simple, got good fuel economy, came with manuals, and... were incredibly slow, terrifying deathtraps.

Oh, I don’t know, maybe this fun little thing. I bet that no one else has one, because I rarely see it being used on the roads ever. Oh, by the way, this is probably the first time some of you have seen this, but it’s used for turning. It activates the turn signals. Isn’t that fantastic?!

People in the south will have no idea what this device is, but it is the definition of ‘invaluable’ in the northern climates.

Not necessarily.

Small for its power output, low weight and low vibrations, happy at high speeds? These are actually good characteristics to have in your onboard power generation system.

A couple of things make it not totally stupid. Small size and low weight for its power, as you mentioned. That’s actually kind of a big deal for a hybrid. Also, many of the issues inherent in rotaries are reduced when you only need them to spin at a fixed rpm while attached to a generator.

I trust the Mazda engineers more than I trust you on this subject.

We don’t hate Mitsubishi. We just choose to remember the better times.

De-badge or re-badge.

Bitch, this is like all I do.

You know the US and Euro Escort are completely different cars right? I’m not sure if they even share a single part

I mean, it’s a European Escort body on top of a Sierra Cosworth powertrain that in this case has been set up for full rally duty.
