I didn't read the original article because I'm just completely done with any discussion involving "having it all." OVER IT.

Nail polish math is my specialty!

That is only 30 nail polish colors, Jenna! Where are the rest??

Why the fuck are ANY of you eating LENTILS?? DON'T YOU KNOW CAVEMEN DIDN'T EAT LENTILS??

Too much Owl City, not enough Carly Rae. Deceptive title.

Yeah I literally just came here to say, Olivia Munn's shoes: why.

"And the other day I got a phone call from someone saying my baby was going to be retarded. I really need a new phone number."

A reeeeeally bad one, too. God, it's bothering me.

And she seems so pushy about it, too — "Where you think you're going, baby?"

The way we've all been enculturated? I wouldn't claim to know the difference.

Yes. It is THEBEST. Watch music video for maximum effect.

Me too. And for the sake of inappropriate impromptu dance parties everywhere, I hope she has a few more hits up her sleeve, and sticks around longer than 15 minutes.

Yep, absolutely. And that makes perfect sense, believe me — I have hella crazy scarring on one arm, and GOD am I tired of people asking about it. But I think arm makeup would be rather more noticeable than leg makeup, so I suspect I'm SOL.

Spanx is what gets me the worst of all... I think it's because when I was a kid my mom told me about how much better things are now, how she used to have to wear a girdle because that was the norm even though she was very tall and slim (a model, even), and it was so uncomfortable and hot and left little dents in her

Eh, that's sort of about looking hot, though — i.e., covering perceived flaws.

As the below commenter noted, we all pick and choose. My way (take the mascara, leave the manicures and the blowouts, etc.), isn't necessarily better or worse than any other way. It's just it all seems like so much, sometimes. Too much.

I'm reasonably high-maintenance, by the standards of my peer group — I wear makeup almost daily, and am particularly known for my mascara prowess; I work out regularly; I shell out some for nice clothes — but stuff like this makes me kind of depressed. Like... how much time and effort do we really have to put into

I noticed that, too; in fact it was my first thought on seeing this piece.

Haha, right?

Ooh I just saw them do a Q&A about their new movie at Bonnaroo. Cute couple, they are, and cute little movie.
