Good!
Good!
My bff is going into surgery. It'll be tough. She wants to start having kids immediately — good thing her husband plans to be the caretaker. Still, I worry.
If South Asians are already 15 percent of doctors, and "have more money per capita than any group in America," perhaps they're less in need of role models than some other demographic groups? Maybe they already realize how vast their potential is.
I double- and triple-heart you.
"Bieberconda" is always a good sign that you're dealing with a troll...
Honestly, I have no idea why trolls do what they do or what the "payoff" is. I just know that I can tell the difference between an actual 11-year-old and a cynical adult vaguely pretending to be one.
Yeah, this... is a troll account clearly created by an adult. Oh, Jez, you are so often getting trolled.
Since that gives you cancer — yes, yes it does count.
I like how you found the silver lining here.
I work in the media and often write about books. On occasional self-Googles (hush, it's perfectly normal) I've found made-up quotes from me endorsing certain books (which I would never do — my job is to write about books without specifically praising or panning them), and, on one occasion, an entire fake article by me…
That was bugging me, too.
I literally had this exact thought while pondering the nation's broken food system during a run last night. Literally this exact thought.
Much like Savoir-Faire...
Good points all. Organizations that do great work do deserve great advertising.
Sue! Definitely sue. This aggression will not stand!
Ahhh I should totally have thought of it before the damn interview. Next time, swear to god.
Definitely. But this goes way beyond that, and for me it was distracting (although it was, obviously, the whole point of the video).
The question is: Did she come up with it first, or did HuffPo?
Ah, yes. The story of every job interview I've ever had, including an absolutely fucking excruciating one just last week.
I work in higher ed, so to me the emotional impact of this video is significantly blunted by the fact that it's so clearly marketing, through and through. Marketing for a cause I generally support is still marketing, after all. And it's surely no accident that such a beautiful girl was chosen for this video.
