@Billxor: Tequila is like cactus juice...only fermented.

In addition to the ones LH posted here, some of my favorites are Qik, Yelp/Urbanspoon and a simple yet entirely functional and almost always correct is Compass. I know gps and map apps usually orient but Compass is simply a quicker way to orient one's self especially since I don't always need directions, I just need

isn't this the same thing as having a gym membership that one does not use?

@Talthybius: too fast after work? Nexus One is a GSM phone what doesn't use UMTS 1700/2100 3G data frequencies which is what Tmobile USA uses. AT+T uses 850/1900 3G band which is also GSM. You were right about Verizon being CDMA though.

i wonder what the placement rate for something like that is.

@iamnotafish: I save money by going out to eat at BYOB restaurants. Chicago has plenty of them.

@QADude: I've chilled cheaper red wines. It helps to cut down on the flavor of some of the impurities.

@Dennisskirts: I do too. Only I usually have eggs in the morning.

what ever happened to the good ol' days when a personal background photo was enough.

@squishyalt: No I haven't tried that but I haven't found anyone having trouble with this analogy yet. I see how water works but I think pebbles get's the idea of bits of data across well as well as temporarily slowed down connections due to heavy traffic. Not to mention I could recite this analogy in my sleep if need

I have explained bandwidth in this manner: First imagine a tube, now this tube does not change size. And the information from the internet are all pebbles. When one person is using the internet on a connection, the pebbles flow through easily, but when you have several people using the same connection ( or tube) it is

@ReynaldoRiv: Alright maybe i exaggerated a bit. I also should have elaborated. By hero, I meant that she in fact plays all of her games (for the most part) because I buy games like ninja gaiden and street fighter that rarely get played because, quite frankly, they continue to piss me off. I refuse to trade them in

she is my hero.

I had a girlfriend that taught me a lot. That helps. And what they tell you in school, immersion worked incredibly well for me.

I have used at&t for the past 10 years (with the exception of 2 years on tmobile from 2005-07) and while I can never complain about their coverage in Chicago, I have frequently had issues with dropped calls, calls that just won't go thru, and poor customer service.

One cannot divide by zero.

Because of this I finally learned that ethnic is a mood.

i actually plan most of my parties around fridge space and amount of coolers available. i assume a 6pack / person and throw a few bottles of wine/liquor per every half dozen or so for good measure. winter is my favorite because i can just say, oh grab a few and leave your case outside.

just to share a bit of a horror story. I bought my newest laptop back in Feb '09 and did not purchase the extended warranty. Granted this particular model came with 2 yr manufacturers warranty but does not cover accidents and the like. just last week it rained like mad here in Chicago and my ceiling started to leak.

Now playing

i would also carry an extra change of clothes, gloves, hat, socks and a blanket in this emergency kit. you won't always be alone so it might be best to take that into consideration as well. oh and of course, jumper cables!
