I submit to your infinite wisdom, oh sage of the internet.

I would recommend a brief review of Weber's "spirit of capitalism" before claiming that the acquisition of one of these cars is not a responsible one. You are assuming that financial security and/or fiscal asceticism is the goal of all of those involved.

Pray tell, good sir, what evidence do you have to corroborate your claim of BMW money pits. Statistics, ownership experience, divine knowledge of the beyond?

My BMW has spent 41 years in Minnesota and the lines are like new.

the vacuum brake booster. Most people don't even know what it is, but wouldn't be able to drive without it.

do you mean E92?

with all of the trimmings I believe that an s85 is just a hair lighter than an n54.

Agreed. My '73 Bavaria is within fifty pounds of my '99 M3, and AT LEAST 1100 lbs less than a new 7 series.

Do you make them for downdrafts on an m30?

Seconded.

The Bavaria is an E3 (the chassis code for the four door six cylinder cars of the era), the coupes are E9s. Although all six cylinder BMWs of the period use this type of key.

Bmw e3/39 key without a doubt.

I want this car to HAVE MY BABIES!!!!

That most revered of horrible automobiles, the PT Cruiser Convertible.

Oh, really? (sips white russian)

Reminds me of the third day that I owned my 944 (my first car), I spun it in front of a semi on a back road. In my defense, the tires were showing cords and it had been raining.

Don't forgot impossibly complex.

Did you seriously just put the word "like" in between two commas for the sake of prose? I don't know how I feel about this.

I believe that you meant to say S62, since M car engine codes begin with an "S".

Porsche 944 (any variant). Entire purchase price in maintenance every year for the rest of your life.
