Biden has some baggage, for sure, particularly to anyone who takes an interest in politics. But there’s no way you can compare his baggage to Hillary Clinton’s, particularly among the GOP and those who still consider themselves “moderates”.
Dear Deadspin Staff,
Yeah. I have been a BB supporter for the past year and a half. But, as this season has gone on, I’ve found myself thinking they probably need someone else in there. Brett’s gameplans have seemed pretty weak, and he definitely is hesitant to change much—even when something isn’t working.
Right. They’ll then be expected to make up all of the work missed with no extra pay. And no one accepts a job thinking that there’s going to be a government shutdown. You expect the people governing to govern.
Many are not considered “essential” and will be furloughed. However, federal employees will get the back pay. Non-essential contractors don’t. It’s pretty much shit.
Shout out to the government contractors who won’t get back pay or earn leave for the government shut down.
I’m with you. It looks like Oleksiak swings first, but more so out of desperation. Wilson came from the middle of the ice and almost certainly started dropping his gloves first.
Lyon was decent with the Phantoms and Flyers last year. Not good, but decent.
The Flyers are the only people in the world that don’t think this season is lost and, by all accounts, are willing to trade for pieces to help them win this year. Granted Giroux and Jake are getting older, but they just had career years last year and look pretty good still this year.
Well, Lyon was sent back down to the AHL. So it was a choice the Flyers made to stick him in the big time, not a “next man up” thing.
This is, I think I will use the colloquial, “Good Kinja.”

Pat would be extremely disappointed to have his family affairs play out in the public
That David Booth tweet too. This was, perhaps, the toughest year that Rovell has/will ever face.
Hold up—I don’t recall Jon Gruden being nominated for that award!
On the expansion draft: do you think we will see less NTCs or NMCs over the next few years, in anticipation of being forced to protect those players in the expansion draft?
Wilson
the whole gamehis whole career was running others, every check high up toward the head, always raising gloves for the hits
All except one vote will be for the pickup basketball guy. And then we’ll know for sure that he reads Deadspin.
Don’t be so sure about that. I was in a hipster coffee shop earlier today and I heard some Democrats whispering about how Gruden could make run at this award. Don’t count out Gruden just because you think Gruden has it locked up.
