As a Sixers fan: I think “The Process” is/was fucking dumb. It was tanking. Call it tanking. It’s been done before, and it wasn’t some grand scheme that was new to the world. It was tanking until you got the right player(s). That’s why we had to see fucking Jahlil and Nerlens before we got to see Joel and Simmons.

Written by someone who can’t go outside in the spring because of the pollen, so, therefore, has to sit inside in the evenings and read/watch baseball all night—you’re out of your mind and/or bitter about something if you don’t agree that the Yankees and Red Sox are “two of baseball’s best three or four teams”.

I just shit my pants, Barry.

Two of baseball’s best three or four teams are in the AL East

Just so we’re all clear, my comment about Brad Stevens being a “decent coach” was obviously sarcastic. The man is, for my money, the best coach in the NBA—with the exception (possibly) of Lebron James.

At this point, it seems silly to me to not consider Jayson Tatum a star. He has been able to get to the bucket at will this series, and even just last night he put Simmons in a blender. He’s shooting, driving, passing, and doing everything else that makes thing 1000 times easier for his teammates. Horford and Rozier

Philly has blown so many games, and honestly played like such garbage this series (that’s not to say the Celtics haven’t played good—they have shot the ball well, and Brad Stevens is a decent coach, I guess), that if they had played average basketball at times, they could be leading the series 31- instead of the other

I understand this is him trying to be relate-able, despite his incredible wealth, but this just makes him seem like a dumbass. No, hotdogs are not better than steaks, you piece of crap.

Counterpoint: It’s hot as fuck.

Normally I wouldn’t address someone who is in the gray and who comments a week later on a post, but I’ll bite...

I get what you’re saying, and his feet are definitely still on the ice at the time of contact, but “exploding upwards” is still definitely a problem with this hit. In that screenshot, look at how straight Wilson’s legs are compared to when he starts the process of the hit. He’s moving upwards, which is just as

Hey, I know you’re just here to stir up shit, but I think the argument that Aston-Reese turtles is the funniest one I’ve heard. I mean, the only movement from him is trying to get his shoulder UP to block some of the blow to the head. Aston-Reese pops up about three inches, so imagine what the point of contact would

Nice....

Right around here, some save truther is going to rush to the comments to yell about how Couture shot the puck directly at Fleury’s glove, and I don’t want to hear it.

It’s really true. The less she says in regards to actual issues reporters are covering, the better she does her job. That’s why you see a 15 minute monologue to open where she talks about everything the administration has “accomplished” and then 12 minutes of “questions and answers.”

Her best quality (in terms of her filling THIS SPECIFIC role for THIS SPECIFIC administration) is that she just flat out won’t answer a question she doesn’t want to.

The photographs Carlson’s producers chose to represent us are both from years ago—we both look much younger in them than either of us do now, which Shields speculated is part of the broader effort, in the wake of the Parkland shooting and the upsurge of youth and student activism that has followed, to silence

Upon learning of the change in name, I cannot, in good conscience, give my vote to the doctor.

The Leafs seem to be in a similar position to the Flyers (bad goaltending, weak blueline, young studs that didn’t show up much but got good playoff experience, some help on the way), but this seems to be a much more positive post than you gave the Flyers the other day.

Follow up to Drew: Foles or Cousins?
