Agreed. I just sorta stopped watching midway through S2 while they were on the farm...way too much melodrama and plot driving the characters (instead of the reverse) for my tastes. The showrunner change after the first season just changed its focus too much for me, I guess.

The show is so full of absolute unrelenting misery, that I just don’t see how people handle it.

What really got me coming here regularly was there used to be a “question of the day post”, normally related to some news of the day... those were great discussions that allowed me to discover load of new shows/books/films.

Really do miss the good old days when the site was more indie where it was superlist dime a dozen that relied on reader input. Now it seems to be the forgotten side-along to the Gizmodo corporate pain in the arse.

I mostly miss io9 being it’s own site and not just a part of Gizmodo. I really hated that decision.
