Yes, I agree with you completely. In terms of the two male leads they've sort of setup for her I don't feel a strong pull to either of them. She's fun to watch when she's all smitten with Jimmy but I'm not feeling a lot of chemistry between those two.

I think that they are improving. Elizabeth Banks has stood out to me for the entire series so far. She plays that role really well. Rob Lowe is channeling other characters that he's played. I googled an image of her and you are correct. I agree completely; the almond shape is what makes it look off. Someone else said they tried to hard to bring her into the human looking realm and not enough pig that also makes it unsettling.
