I’m betting the Mole is that same female deputy that always shows up to hand Singh or Joe some file and gets a banal line. “Here’s the file, boss.” Why else is she in there? Either that or she’s the one who outs Singh to Joe.

I loved that Cisco held his own in the fight. There was a period where he had his powers but he seemed like a noncombatant and it was good to see him able to handle himself against opponent.

Remember when Hux gave his spittle flecked Hitler speech in TFA? Yeah that doesn't jibe with what we got in RoS.

The shrug and smile was pure Solo.

That little smirk and shrug was the first time I thought “Oh, right, he’s Han Solo’s kid!” It was the first time it clicked. God, I wish there’d have been more time to run with that. 

Saw it last night. A few thoughts:

Definitely with you on the Driver front. I also wish they would let him live. The idea of a reformed Ben Solo trying to make his own way through the galaxy after all the horrible shit he was part of? Woulda been more interesting, IMO. They didn’t have to just Vader him. We’ve seen that already, so why not at least…

The OT hangs together waaaaaaay better than it should despite the lack of planning. But I think a huge part of that was Lucas having this universe in his head. Yeah, stuff got tweaked majorly throughout, but it all stemmed from Lucas.

This new trilogy stemmed from no one.

Even funnier that each ship has that type of gun when Starkiller literally required a whole planet to function. That tech shrunk more efficiently than cell phones.

I totally am nitpicking! And you’re right the earlier movies often had some similar issues.

I just felt this one had A LOT.

I will say again though that the experience of watching it was very enjoyable. I enjoyed myself and enjoyed the movie.

Yes, what makes Sci fi work is internal logic. These comments are nitpicking some stuff, and pretending like the original movies didn’t gloss over stuff that was later explained in supplental materials, but they have a point.

I just really really hate planet killing superweapons.

Just let it be a fuckhuge fleet. That’s good enough! (make all the troops and crews clones) So we don’t have to wonder where they come from.

Not getting more of Driver as a reformed Ben is such a bummer. That little ow. The shrug. And that last smile!!! There was a whole entire level to the character we only got to see the slightest hint of.

I sure this review will be received reasonably and people, regardless of whether or not they agree with it, will debate politely. It’s a good thing Star Wars has never caused people to behave in a disagreeable fashion.
