Its weirder to obsess over them being foster-sibings when they didn’t become siblings until after knowing each other for years and after being old enough to have rigid definitions of family.

So sorry for your loss Janet, all my condolences to you and your family.
That scene with Barry and Joe wrecked me. When it started, I was thinking how much better last season would have been if Jesse L. Martin hadn’t been out so long for back surgery. Next thing I knew I was reaching for the tissues. I was already crying when Joe broke down and said he wasn’t ready. It didn’t help that I…
Why do you insist on calling the guy Ramsey zombiefied first as “Romano” when it’s clearly “Romero”? You did the same thing last week.
Using the propulsion from shooting out her air blasts to do a flip was a cool trick.
I really like Killer Frost’s new suit & it was fun to have her going into action side by side with Barry at the hospital. Also she had a cool hallway fight with the first zombie. I sort of expected her to do the ice bridge to chase after Bloodwork as he was getting away but I guess that might have not been the smart…
I feel like this season has a lot of confidence about what it wants to be, which is great. In particular, I think the Ramsey stuff is really panning out to be something potentially interesting.
“My enemy is death” is the worst/best line in the history of the show. I thought on the whole this was a fun little almost gothic horror Halloween episode, and the mopey stuff bounced off my for the most part. That last scene with Barry and Joe on their version of the Balcony of Deep Thoughts however, that was good…
Flash off to a really nice start.
- We’ve waited six years, but there it is. “AaAH! He saved everyone of us.”
I prepared a Q&A for myself before heading into the movie. Now, having watched it, here’s how I feel these answer:
Old School was reasonably funny, but I’ll never understand why Starsky & Hutch doesn’t get more love.
It’s normal to reference a director’s prior work, including when you have a low opinion of their output. This has the benefit of helping readers calibrate their reception to the review based on their opinion of the films it’s compared to.
Or, if you can’t play it by playground rules, it’s a professional sport.
Remember last season when a blown, non-reviewable call robbed the Saints of a trip to the Super Bowl? People were apoplectic about it. Now, imagine that happening in every game.
No, I don’t want to hear about “getting it right.”
Cicada II disappeared because the dagger did, erasing the shard of it that’s in Grace’s head, meaning the cure now worked on her and she’ll never become Cicada II. Nora disappeared because Crisis is now in 2019.
Look, if you have to go evil speedster, you really can’t go wrong with Thawne.
Especially in this show. Thawne has ALWAYS been well written.
- “...but the cure doesn’t work because Cicada II escapes from the pipeline in time to show up and disrupt its effects with the dark matter of her dagger.” No, it’s the dark matter infused piece of dagger that is embedded in Grace’s head that prevents the cure from working.
- “Again, I don’t know how they did that...”…
Nora, no!!! I hope Joe is right and we will see her again, somehow. Just like Iris said Nora was the best parts of both her & Barry, Jessica Parker Kennedy’s performance combined the strong parts of both of her TV parents, funny and charming but resolute, as well.
