Actually, in most places it’s 100% legal to take pictures of the police in public, as long as you aren’t interfering. They may harass you, but that’s not the same as it being illegal.
I generally agree with what you’re saying on this thread, but it is not illegal anywhere in the US to film the police or to take pictures of the police. That’s very pervasive misinformation.
