The fundamental gameplay of Mass Effect didn’t change at all though? Inventory management was neatened up and the combat was streamlined/improved, but its still the same style of game at its core. This clearly isn’t.

Given that for the majority of its playtime it’s doing nothing but railing on tropes whilst it follows them, this article feels very generous. Ironically pointing shit out is tired hat at this point, and the game doesn’t do enough inventive to justify the meta ribbings it gives out.

7.5 months - given it’s probably still at least a month or two away AND DLC is worked on prior to a game being released (because what else are modellers etc. doing prior to release) means it’ll be nearly a year minimum between release and the DLC.

Most higher ups in video game publishing have very little knowledge about video games. All he really needs to do is support games he thinks will perform well with finances, that’s it. As a publisher he’s got a HUGE audience built in, if anything it’s a boon for any prospective developer.
