Played for the first time earlier today and was actually able to find a reasonably realistic interpretation of my flat, near the British Museum. That and a little side alley that they absolutely nailed nearby. The area isn’t perfect, and it’s definitely condensed down, but it’s pretty cool actually.

Microsoft is obviously not paying publishers to not transfer games over like Syndicate or “Werewolves Within”, when all the other major AC games have moved over. It’s 2020, unless you’re 12, this weird console war tirade you’re on is just a bit sad.

but the human eye cannot detect anything above 40 frames per second”

The suggestion towards the end is unsustainable, and inevitably dismissive of other types of phobias. Turn all insects into blobs - then remove all underwater sections, have an option to make fire into jelly, and somehow squish all the mountains or high surfaces in the game? It goes on and on and on. You simply can’t

Alternatively, people find enjoyment in doing it? It’s a fun way of playing games for them?

Because Japan is a much smaller market than the rest of the world - if you’re going to standardise it, you do it in a way that’ll annoy the fewest number of people possible. I don’t think the cultural meaning etc. is really playing into Sony’s thinking.

Given they’ve gone this long upsetting 0 million players, that was an option too. Not that I care either way, but I’m curious how much work this saves.

Best level in the game for me, Slime Climb. At some point, when you’re consistently hitting the last round or two, those early rounds become a bit tedious - something to get out of the way before the real competition. Slime Climb eliminating 80% of the field gets you the final so much quicker, and it’s not a super

I’m genuinely curious what makes this trailer a “recruitment video” more than any other gameplay trailer we’ve ever seen? Why is this game less likely to come out than any other game without a release date? There’s a lot of odd takes in this article.

Sucking at the game would make it a much more frustrating and unenjoyable experience. I will say - everyone sucks for those first few hours, and the game gets better as you get better at it, but maybe it’s just not for you.

The Hotline Miami costume made it to PC as well - as did the Alyx one, so there’s been 4 crossover costumes in total on PC. (Hotline, Alyx, Freeman, Scout)
Game itself is brilliant really. Got my 6th win last night. It’s still pretty frustrating at times but as soon as you start to revel in the chaos and figure out how

I cannot imagine being a grown-ass adult in this day and age (I’m assuming, maybe you’re a child and that would explain it) and having such an emotional investment in both a console and a company that don’t care about you, to the point where you’d want to mock people who prefer the competing console. The console wars

This page is basically you saying you don’t understand a very basic sentence and then writing an entire article about it.

The reaction to all this has boggled my mind a little - surely it’s GOOD that these Xbox games are coming to PC too? What people seem to keep forgetting is that games are where the money is - not consoles. Consoles are expensive to produce, often costing their companies money rather than actually making it - they make

Kotaku can’t win. They do their art-forward reviews with little focus on game mechanics, people complain. They focus on the mechanics and how the game is to play, people complain. The flute could be substantially less important than Ellie’s guitar, and the reviewer didn’t even comment on it negatively, but here you

You’re not a good person. Just thought you should know.

“I get it. For a lot of folks who probably don’t listen to country, that cover of “Hurt” might be one of the few songs they’ve heard that prominently features an acoustic guitar.”

Country or...you know, any rock/indie music whatsoever. People just like the song, it’s a prominent acoustic track, but to basically suggest

I finished the game last night, and whilst the 0s and 1s and 2s are probably excessive, the game is no more than a 5 or 6 out of 10 in my eyes. It is a staggering technical achievement - possibly the best I’ve ever experienced - but the story is a horrible fanfic that royally fucks up its central message by games end.

Why are you blaming these commenters for the leaks? And how do the leaks justify lying to the VAST majority of their audience who wouldn’t have experienced said leaks? The two things aren’t even connected.
