Uhhhh, turn of the century? Flash is still around, despite what this article would lead you to believe. I work in the web field, and there are so many companies and startups out in NYC still cranking out Flash banners and games. Trust me, it ain’t dead yet.

Trufax, I still go to Newgrounds and play games there. It would be very sad if Newgrounds closed it’s doors.

I read it this way too! So confusing.

You are the best. Please never stop being you. You know what, hold up one second....

Uhhhh, I think you’ll find that list to be a short one.

People feel sanctimonious over anything that’s not really any of their goddamn business.

I can only imagine working with them had to suck. Thank God they’re an ex-coworker.

Everytime I start a new job, this is my fear. Given that I’ve had nothing but a steady stream of freelance/temp jobs since I’ve graduated, I feel like work hasn’t helped calm those inner demon voices.

Oh GOD, I went to grad school and this was totally me. I still feel this way, having graduated years ago. Never realized how common it was.

This is pretty much what I deal with constantly, especially when it comes to work.

Your argument doesn’t even make sense. For you to imply that this is simply a matter of western women trying to impose their culture on eastern cultures would imply that those same people never criticize the West for it’s misogyny. If that were the case, you wouldn’t have half of the articles that populate this site.

I have this EXACT same problem, and trust me, I’m not a snob. My mother, however, is. And she’s totally proud of the fact.

Lmao, I absolutely hate job listings that say that.

I’ve heard the rumors too. I remember that LaineyGossip mentioned that she treats her own staff horribly.

I’ve always hated him and felt like the only reason Lively even became so insufferable was because of his presence. Prior to that, she was kind of like wallpaper...you just forgot she was there.

Well yeah. But those fonts are bad because they aren’t legible.

I think if that were the case, there wouldn’t be hiring managers already calling bullshit. Most won’t care unless you are a designer. And even then, if your resume has a nice, clean font, it’s not a big deal.

I’ve only been to a couple of nail salons in the Heights, but there was one I went to where it pinged my “sketch” radar. I was going to a wedding so I went to this salon with these wonderful and sweet Mexican women working the front. One of the women told my sister that they would get punished by the owners if they

I work as a designer and I really hate designers who only insist on using Helvetica when there are other san serifs out there that are nicer, if not just as equally wonderful (Gotham, Avenir, heck even Myriad Pro has nice fonts in it’s family. Yes, that Myriad Pro...)

Is she even still a thing?
