lbr, the same assholes populate those sites.
Yup, there's no way anyone would actually be turned on by this stuff. In addition to being really gross, It's just too stupid and pointless.
I'm just praying it's an urban legend.
They might not get as creative as these acts, but unfortunately, there (sadly) is such a thing as fecal play.
That's pretty awesome. I've actually done freelance writing as well, but I did it while working as a designer for a startup. It was a pretty bad startup, but it was an interesting experience nonetheless. It's hilarious because I was told to write recipes and I have zero cooking skills.
Oh me too. It was really well shot. But that's Luc for you. I'll forever love him for the Fifth Element and La Femme Nikita. I was cracking up when they played the trailer for La Femme Nikita at the Alamo before the previews.
I wonder why some temp agencies don't give out references then? I mean, what you say has an ounce of truth, but the agencies usually don't see it that way. My last assignment was sold to me as a "temp to perm" assignment but my boss was the last person who was clued in on that, and when I told them they seemed super…
Meh, you'll get em. *clocks you on the chin softly*
Everything costs a fortune in this city and the pay is in the pits. The other week some company gave me an offer that was below 34,000 with no benefits and in a shitty neighborhood. I think they must have thought they were doing me a favor. I nearly blew a fuse.
YES. I have so many teachers and friends in Graduate school who are freelancing and balancing that with part time adjunct work. And there are some who are still working as part-time adjunct and can't find anything else.
It's still too expensive but hopefully it'll be improved upon until it's free ninety-nine.
Well sort of. I was freelancing recently for a start up that hasn't officially launched. I'm not sure where you're located but I somehow found the gig through an agency. Prior to that, I had a desk job but it was literally in another state. I can recommend sites like oDesk or Elance, but the rates on there are…
Thank you, I am so so sick of people romanticizing freelancing. It's really only nice for the first couple of months and then the panic sets in and you don't know how long your gig will last.
It depends. You get that feeling a lot when you're working in advertising. I think my lowest moment, or the moment when I felt like I wasn't contributing to the world in a positive way, was when I was working on online web ads for a game that advertised candy to children. And it was like, you had to race as a disney…
That's awesome. How long were you freelancing for? What industry are you in, if you don't mind me asking?
You can avoid that by temping though agencies, although you still have to pay taxes on top of that as well.
Yeah but some parts of consulting is a farce. Consulting firms like to talk it up as an awesome experience with travel where you "build your own brand" but in reality, most consulting firms undersell candidates, and some just operate like body shops, so they're constantly laying off people if they sit on the bench for…
This is so true. I graduated from grad school last year and I've been freelance since. It took me like 4 months to find a gig that was literally for two days and it was through the worst agency in the city. After that, the government shutdown screwed everything up and all of a sudden, all these people that were…
Haha, thanks. I understand completely why someone can hate the movie. It can be really hard to look past the bad science of the premise. But it was honestly so much fun that you can't take the movie too seriously. I was surprised by how much I liked it. And despite all her problems, this movie reminded me why I love…
