If God gives a shit he can send a lightning bolt Mr Larson’s way, but I’m betting he’ll let this one go*.

3rd option, he intended to mock those idiots who believe in God.
Well there might be the problem of professionalism and things like “we don’t sleep with our patients”, but sure.
Kind of difficult to mock something that doesn’t exist.
Well then let me mock God. He’s the Donald Trump of deities. All bombastic language but couldn’t pour piss out of a boot, and yet his followers still kiss his ass and beg him to fix the wreckage of the disasters, horrors and wars that happened on his watch. And praise him not only when he doesn’t come through but…
Or at least put the cured patient where your mouth is!
So hard to do business in divine punishment with all these profiteering doctors. Even worse, the fucking climatologists are making Him renege on his promise to Noah not to flood the Earth anymore.
signed someone who has gotten shingles 1-2 times a year every year for the past 13 years.
Yes it could be a real result. The question is how acceptable and feasible the path to that result is both to the patient and to the medical community? Extreme treatments are always a trade-off between the capacity of the person to withstand treatment and the capacity of the medical institutions involved to not only…
Just about anything in the herpes family, though they lay dormant in neurons.
But those treatments have to remain ongoing, and there’s a good chance they’ll stop working at some point in the indeterminate future. To me the word “cure” means no ongoing drug cocktail therapy to keep the viral load at zero.
I mean, maybe shingles prevention? Not as life-threatening as HIV, but rather nasty, so if something could be done...? (Signed, someone who got chicken pox the old fashioned way as a kid.)
there are already treatments that can get a person with HIV down to a reading of 0 viral load and at that point you actually can have unprotected sex. Its not recommended for obvious reasons but HIV is in control enough that this is a thing that can already be done.
I’m sure there’s a filthy joke in there somewhere.
It’s all a part of His plan. Lololololol!
This is fantastic, of true. But honestly for me, the results don’t mean much to me unless one of the researchers is willing to have unprotected sex with the cured man. Put your money where your mouth is.
This is one of those things that I’m pretty certain more research and time is needed. I recall back in the late 90's some of the early work that came out on AIDS and HIV research did a similar claim at some point, but it always came back but worse that previous episodes. I’m hoping that they find a cure to this…
God must be really mad at science now. Since AIDS was his punishment for homosexuals, that’s gotta be frustrating being undercut like this.
Holy shit.
A 44-year-old man in England is possibly the first person in history to be cured of HIV. Scientists working on an…
