That’s a really excellent point that does nothing to explain why I constantly see these giant lux trucks in the suburbs of DC where I live. Things I have never seen in the back of one around here include dead elk. The closest off-road park is maybe 4 hours away, there is no need for 4WD and there are far nicer places…
The real shame is that the intake is completely useless as the stock airbox on these cars can support like 400 hp. And with the stock airbox you don’t have to listen to fucking turbo all day.
And I’m sure Jalopnik is grateful for having shown you that there are other, better, more detailed, more informative car websites so you can stop wasting time at this one.
Well explain it then. I was not aware the concept was to dangle carrots of info to readers only to then have them go to the big reveal on a competing site. If that’s the model, you guys have it all well in hand. It seems odd that your success would be contingent upon people leaving your site in order to find the…
In defense of the negative comments, the article is a complete waste of time and shares zero information with the reader aside from the location of where to get the actual information. As a piece of journalism, it’s useless. It provides nothing. Not even a photo of the changes that lead to the writing of the article.
This isn’t just an issue with this article, it’s across the board. You guys link reviews from other car sites inside the reviews of the cars. That would be like the Washington Post posting a link to the same story in the New York Times. As if to say “here is a better article on the same subject.” That’s odd. It’s like…
Nah, I’m good.
Expensive power tools and mid grade hand tools have always been my preference. My dad, who is a lifelong pro carpenter always preached to buy the best tools you can afford and I’ve basically followed that rule. The brands I currently own and trust include Gearwrench ratcheting wrenches and ratchets, Wera screwdrivers…
120 teeth or bust!
Cordless ratchet. No more problems, just pull the trigger.
Why not just make the headline “The following websites have actual useful information about an updated Yaris GR” and save us all the trouble of scanning your piece to find that the only interesting part of the story (the fucking pictures) are not even shown?
What an unmitigated heap of shit.
Looks just like a motorcycle. They are really breaking new ground with this one.
Tyranny must not mean what it used to. The guy produces a television program that has not been funny in 30 years, he isn’t cutting off food supplies to peasants.
I used to work on a boat and we had to carry a serrated blade with us. I made do with cheap fixed blades until my sister bought me a Spyderco Rescue. A giant serrated blade that likely could have sawn through the deck if I’d needed to. The thing I didn’t like was the softness of the handle with allowed for the pocket…

The Rat II is a fantastic knife. I have a couple so there is always one at home, one on the boat and one in my garage. It’s not perfect, but I don’t know what could be better for the price point.

My old office overlooked a busy intersection in DC that was a hotbed for the stupid. You ever seen how far a shoe flies off a person when they get hit by a car doing 30? It’s astonishing.
The rear end is what I think looks ridiculous. It’s very bloated and weird. That character line that slopes up from the front wheel towards the rear of the car just accentuates how large and weird that rear quarter panel looks. The proportions don’t work. I just don’t get the target for this? It’s essentially a Pilot…
It’s ugly and life is too short to drive an ugly car or to own an ugly boat.
