From a comment above:

I think the current generation of Civic is one of the worst looking cars currently on the market. It’s ugly. Like real ugly. The front end is a full blown mess, the rear is ugly. It is not a bad place to be inside, but that’s not good enough. I can’t wait to see this new one when it’s finished. I can only imagine the

My problem with it is that instead of making it a functional vehicle with a lot of storage in the back, they sloped the roof to create a hatch that negates a ton of room. I don’t think there is a market for a car that is very similar to your other cars (CRV, Pilot, Accord) but with less room to put things and a really

He looks like he was stung by bees.

I grew up a close friend with Macon Blair, the star of this film. He is, without a doubt, one of the smartest, funniest and kindest people I had the pleasure of knowing. It’s amazing to watch him and Jeremy Saulnier fulfill dreams that were very much alive in them as kids.

Doesn’t every major auto manufacturer offer a 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo?  Audio, Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, Jaguar, Ford, Chevy.  You get the idea.  A BMW 330i starts at $41,000.  The pricing isn’t out of line.

The fastest way to get through that bullshit is to tell them to prepare the paperwork and that you’ll be back the following day at X time to sign and pick the car up. The dealership experience is a fucking nightmare at every step. From the sales person to the bullshit dance with the sales manager to the finance

They’ll just be replaced with something somehow more vile.

The 4 Cylinder Supra is Still Just Ugly.

Reading this is like reading an article about a blind guy regaining his sight. Having driven nothing but complete heaps of crap, our intrepid traveler was awestruck by the modern conveniences of a newer car. “It starts, it stops, my feet don’t get wet when I drive through puddles, the speedometer doesn’t leak oil onto

It’s a very nice clean design that very obviously borrows heavily from the previous iterations. And it’s lovely, especially when seen next to the Supra which looks like a Transformer mid shape change.

That’s a fair point, but it doesn’t speak to the fact that this particular low spec Volvo is not worth the $4000 ask.  I am not sure what the demand for this car would be when there are a ton of more capable Volvo’s for sale at the same price point.

I don’t agree that this car is in demand.

Don’t worry.  He’ll have to revisit that bracket once those welds give up.

I paid what was a high price for the car at $3200. I would not pay over about $900 for an NA 850 volvo. You get all the boring with nothing that makes the car fun, interesting or surprising.

My point was not which car is a better one for a teenager, my point was that the car in question is priced too high. It’s not as thought the two cars I posted were difficult to find either, they were on Craigslist, so there are certainly other Volvo deals out there. I completely understand finding and purchasing the

This is complete and total nonsense. I live in a hot climate - there was not a single day below 90 in July - and my car cools off just fine in auto mode. I can also regulate the highest speed of the HVAC system so that’s not a concern either.

A 1996 Chevy Lumina is probably hard to find, but that doesn’t make it worth $4000. What’s an m56 cost? I can’t imagine swapping it in would take more than a day. It will bolt right up.

I obviously disagree. While $1800 may be a little light, this is not a $4000 Volvo.

This $1800 car is overpriced. It might be worth the ask if it had a turbo and a stick (but you would have to wait for 1998 and an S70 for that), but this bargain basement base model is not worth anywhere near $4k.
